About this resource: The ADRC helps older adults and individuals with disabilities navigate transportation resources. The ADRC does NOT offer transportation.

Dane Country Department of Human Services// Group Access Service (GAS) & Rural Senior Group Trips (GSG)

About this resource: These two programs provide scheduled group rides to destinations such as grocery and general shopping, nutrition sites, food pantries, special events, adult day centers, and community senior centers. This is a door-to-door service and passengers are assisted with curbs and up to three steps. Vehicles are accessible. Medical trips are not provided. GAS provides transportation to Madison, Monona, and Middleton. RSG provides transportation to all of Dane County with the exception of Madison, Monona, and Middleton.
**There is a cost for service: Nutrition: $0.50/one-way, In-Town Shopping $1.00/one-way. Out-Of-Town Shopping: $1.50/one-way. HOWEVER, no one is denied service due to inability to pay.
Who can use this resource? Adults 60 and over and people with disabilities who live in their own homes or apartments. Individuals enrolled in Long-Term Care through Family Care, Family Care Partnership, and IRIS are not eligible.

Dane County Department of Human Services // Older Adult Transportation Assistance (OATA)

About this Resource: OATA provides scheduled individualized rides to appointments and services which enhance the rider’s ability to remain independent in their own home. Door-to-door and accessible vehicle service is available. Service to all of Dane County. This is generally a temporary transportation service. A completed Transportation Intake Form May be requested.
**Passengers’ co-pay is based on ability to pay. Funding for this program is limited and only rides which are not covered by other funding sources or ride programs are eligible. (Try this resource as a last resort.)
Who can use this resource? Adults 60 and over and people with disabilities who live in their own homes and apartments. Individuals who receive MA rides through Common Carrier Medical Assistance Transportation are not eligible for medical rides. Individuals enrolled in Long-Term Care through Family Care, Family Care Partnership and IRIS are not eligible.

Dane County Department of Human Services // Retired Senior and Volunteer Program (RSVP)

About this resource: RSVP provides scheduled individualized rides to medical appointments and at times other destinations. This service is door-to-door and drivers will assist passenger’s in getting to the correct location within the clinic or hospital. Rides are provided in the volunteer’s own cars and are usually not accessible. Service area is all of Dane County.
Who can use this resource? Adults 60 and older and people with disabilities who live in their own homes or apartments. Individuals who receive MA rides through Common Carrier Medical Assistance Transportation are not eligible. Individuals enrolled in Long-Term Care through Family Care, Family Care Partnership, and IRIS are not eligible.
**Donations are accepted but no one is denied service based on inability to pay.

About this resource: County Coordinated Group Rides (CCGR) is a group transportation service for adults with developmental disabilities who travel to/from the MARC centers in Madison, Stoughton, and Mt. Horeb as well as to/from Opportunities Inc. in Madison. Group Rides to Adult Day Centers (GRADC) is a group transportation Service that transports elderly and adults with developmental disabilities to the Madison Adult Day Centers. The service is door-to-door and vehicles are accessible.
Who can use this resource? CCGR provides service for adults with developmental disabilities. GRADC provides service to frail adults and adults with disabilities who are enrolled in Long-Term Support through either Family Care, Family Care Partnership, or IRIS.

Paratransit
Phone: (608) 266-4466 (Customer Service)
About this resource: Paratransit is a shared-ride service that uses a variety of companies and vehicles to respond to individual ride requests. Paratransit vehicles can be identified by a blue Metro Transit near the entrance.
Who can use this resource? Individuals with disabilities who cannot use Metro’s accessible fixed-route bus service. Must fill out an application and complete in-person assessment to determine eligibility.

Must fill out an application form to determine whether an individual is eligible for Paratransit. A person will need to complete an in-person assessment before eligibility can be determined. Make sure to look over the application checklist!

Eligible paratransit riders may call (608) 266-4466 to book all paratransit rides. Reservations may be made up to seven days in advance. Next day ride requests must be placed no later than 4:30 PM the day before you wish to ride. There are no same day requests

About this resource: Transit solutions offers a group ride program for individuals 60 and older and for individuals with disabilities. The ride operates over all sides of town (North side residents can use the East side pantries).
