About this resource: The Minor Home Repair Program offers low cost home repairs and accessibility modifications for qualified homeowners in the City of Madison. Homeowners will be required to pay the cost of materials and $15.00 per hour per person for labor. Examples of services include ramps, decks, and landings, repairing and replacing leaky faucets, sinks, and toilets, replacing windows or doors, and installation of grab bars and railings for safety.

Program Overview: Funded by the Dane County Community Development Block Grant Program.
Dane County Rehabilitation Program (DCRP), is a 0% interest, deferred-payment loan program available through Project Home. A mortgage will be signed and filed to secure the repayment of the loan when your home is sold or is no longer your main residence.
Major Home Repairs may include roofing, siding, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety concerns, and accessibility modifications. The home must be brought up to code at the completion of the repairs.

Program Overview: The City of Madison Rehabilitation Loan Program is committed to assisting homeowners to maintain and make needed repairs on their homes. They offer extensive local expertise of the various programs and resources available. Loans are provided to property owners, both owner-occupied and rental properties, with varying loan terms based on eligibility.
This program provides financial incentives to upgrade eligible housing units in need of rehabilitation, resulting in improved housing stock. To accomplish this goal the City will provide loans to property owners, both owner-occupied and rental properties, with varying loan terms based on eligibility.
Eligibility: Loan interest rates are based on a household’s annual gross income. Owner-occupied properties must disclose annual gross income of all members of the households over the age of 18 who reside in the property. See website for more details.
