About this resource: Allied Fresh provides free produce and cooler boxes as well as meat every Friday from 1:30-4:30 PM. 

Who can use this resource? Anyone! No identification needed. Allied residents can be placed on delivery or pick up and out-of-neighborhood folks can pick up food. Pick up is at 4619 Jenewein Rd, Fitchburg, WI 53711.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin

About this resource: Second Harvest Foodbank operates 27 mobile pantries in 16 southwestern Wisconsin Counties. The schedule and location of the mobile pantries vary. The Mobile Pantry program provides access to fresh, non-perishable foods as well as perishable foods, such as milk, juice, bread, and fresh produce.

Who can use this resource? Anyone! No identification or proof of residency needed.

Meals on Wheels In Wisconsin

About this resource: SSM Health provides nutritious mid-day meals, Monday through Friday, to residents of Madison, Middleton, Monona, and Sun Prairie. **THIS IS NOT FREE** Each meal costs $9.00. Funding is available in certain areas for those who qualify.

Evening Meals on Wheels

About this resource: Evening Meals on Wheels provides evening meal deliveries to residents of Madison, Fitchburg, Verona, Middleton, Monona, and Sun Prairie. Meals are delivered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 4pm-6pm with different meal options every day.

7 Meals per week               $50

5 Meals per week               $40

3 Meals per week               $30 

*Cost is the same for all meal types.

Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)

About this resource: The ADRC provides information regarding meal sites and home delivery meal programs for individuals 60 and older and for individuals with disabilities.

Who can use this resource? Individuals 60 years of age or older and for individuals with disabilities.

Partner Shares // FairShares CSA Coalition

About this resource: Partner Shares provides you with a variety of fresh vegetables at an affordable cost. You pick a farm that fits your needs and become a farm “member”. Then, you choose a pick-up location from a list of options. The farm will deliver a box of vegetables regularly throughout the growing season. FairShare will contribute 50%, up to $300, toward the cost of your share.  

Who can use this resource? Individuals must meet eligibility requirements. If you already are eligible for SNAP benefits, the WIC program, or your children qualify for free or reduced school lunch, you qualify for this funding.

  • If you are eligible, you can fill out a Partner Shares application.

    • You can either complete the form online OR you can complete a paper form and mail it in.
